About Comfortmaker HVAC Systems
Comfortmaker is an ICP HVAC brand primarily distributed through independent dealers in the eastern United States. ICP is a Carrier Global division that runs multiple brands: Heil, Tempstar, Arcoaire, Day & Night, Keeprite, and Airquest, all built in the same facilities. One thing worth noting about Comfortmaker: older units sometimes printed the manufacture date directly on the data plate rather than encoding it in the serial number. If the decoder returns no date, check the label for a printed MFG date. For units that do encode the date, the format is the same as all ICP brands: year in positions 2-3, manufacturing week in positions 4-5.
